Edits and Proofs

Well, I feel a step nearer to publication as I received the proof copy of Dangerous Deceit during the week. I've been going through it carefully for any errors - unfortunately that's all I can change at this stage! Hope I'm not the only author who wishes she'd written some things a little differently. Or perhaps that happens with every new book. I expected to be thoroughly sick of reading it after going through the edits a while back, but it wasn't too bad.

So now, I'm looking forward to getting the cover - that's almost more exciting to me than the actual novel! Meantime, I'm reading and commenting on lots of blogs and forums to get the hang of networking and promotion in time for the May release. But when am I going to get on with more writing, I ask myself!

Neither can I - but we'll need to wait for the print version!

I've been too afraid to go back through my books after final copies are finished because I KNOW I'll catch something I want to change and it'll bug me forever.

Congrats on getting one step closer. Next step; COVER!!! That'll be really exciting.

I'm with you there, Linda! And yes, the cover's the biggest excitement for me.
