Here's the link to a fascinating article in the Daily Mail online about the type of slang words Jane Austen evidently used! I must admit I was amazed at some of them, such as 'shut up' and 'dirt cheap' which sound so modern. The article also has delicious photos of Colin Firth, and gorgeous Welsh actor Matthew Rhys who will be portraying a slightly older Mr Darcy on TV at the end of the year.
