The Waltz in Regency Times

I always meant to write a post about the introduction of the scandalous waltz into Regency ballrooms, as I mention it in one scene in Dangerous Deceit. There has always been some doubt over when exactly it became fashionable in Britain.

But Melinda Hammond has written such a good piece about it on the Historical and Regency Romance UK blog that I shall just direct you there - and there are lovely illustrations too!

Waltzing is scandalous! Bodies far too close together!
